How it works
Subscription total = monthly price × months you keep the car. Break-even month = one-off price ÷ monthly price, rounded up. Before that month the subscription has cost less in total, after it buying would have cost less.
Example
With example prices of €100 a month and €8,000 once, over 48 months: the subscription costs €4,800.00, which is €3,200.00 less than buying. Break-even is Month 80.

Questions
Are these Tesla’s current prices?
No. The defaults are round examples. Tesla lists its own prices on its order pages and changes them per country, so check there before you decide.
Does the break-even month say which option is better?
It only compares totals. A subscription can be cancelled and a purchase stays with the car, so the cheaper total is not the whole story.
Is anything I enter stored?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is sent.
